Overview

Welcome to the City of Edinburgh Council Colleague Survey 2025. 

Thank you for taking the time to tell us your thoughts about what it’s like to work for our Council. As you may have seen from the promotional materials this year, your voice really does make a difference. We read all responses from colleague surveys and wanted to highlight how that feedback creates real change in the way we work.

This year, your survey is based on the five themes of our People Strategy 2024-27, which are underpinned by Our Behaviours – Respect, Integrity and Flexibility.  

The strategy provides an outline for how we’ll invest in you, helping you be your best self at work and ultimately support you to provide the best outcomes for our city and its residents.

This is your survey and it’s about you - we need as many of you to give your honest thoughts on what your experience at work is like. The more voices we hear, the more accurately we’ll be able to create a picture of what’s working well and what needs improvement. This will help us to build on our action plans - from team plans, to Service plans and up to our Business Plan. We promise to keep you informed about the results of the survey and the action plans that you’ve helped inform.
