Edinburgh's Budget
Overview
We need to save at least £30 million next year
Edinburgh is a popular, growing city. Our population is increasing and ageing, and more and more people need our help and support. Our costs are continuing to rise and our funding isn't keeping up. As a result, we're now expecting to have to save at least £30m next year and £109m by 2028/29.
Why your views matter
As our budget decisions get harder, it is more important than ever to know what residents think about the tough choices we need to make.
This consultation shows you a short summary of the proposals for how we can balance our budget. Your views will help to shape the final budget proposals that are presented to elected members, and will help them to make a final decision about Edinburgh's budget in February 2025.
