Closes 8 Aug 2025

Opened 10 Jun 2025

Overview

The City of Edinburgh Council is proposing to dispose of, by lease, of an area of ground which forms part of its Common Good property adjacent to Tall Oaks, Gyle Park, Edinburgh to Corstorphine Dynamo FC, a registered SCIO as part of a wider redevelopment to provide a new MUGA and associated facilities.

Under section 104 of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015, we are required to publish details of any proposed disposal or change of use in respect of property held as part of the Common Good register and invite representations from community councils, community bodies and members of the public.

Why your views matter

This area of land has Common Good status. The Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015 states that if a local authority wishes to dispose of an area of Common Good land they must consult local communities before taking any decision.

We are now keen to hear the views of the local community and, if there is support for the proposal, we would grant a lease of the land.
