2018/19 Housing Budget Consultation

Closed 30 Nov 2017

Opened 10 Nov 2017

Overview

Over the last two years, our tenants said they want us to build more homes, improve the quality of existing homes and invest in services that help them to reduce costs. We listened to your feedback and now have a five year plan that aims to reduce your living costs and build 8,000 new homes over the next 10 years. If you are a Council tenant, we want to know what you think of this plan.

Why your views matter

Every year we ask Council tenants for their views on how their rent should be spent. We use the responses to inform the Council housing budget for the following year and a five year investment plan.

This year we want to build on the last two years' responses by asking what you think of the plan and what else we could do to reduce your cost of living.

Please only complete this survey if you are a City of Edinburgh Council tenant.

What happens next

The outcome of the consultation will inform the 2018/19 Housing Service budget and rent levels. The Council will discuss the draft budget at a special budget meeting in early 2018.
