Castlebrae CHS Student Survey

Overview

Castlebrae High School is moving!

A brand new school is going to be built on Niddrie Mains Road, beside the East Neighbourhood Office/Craigmillar Library.  We would like to find out how you currently travel to school and if that will change if you are still at Castlebrae when the new school opens (all current S1 to S3 students). We hope that you will have an active journey to school - walking or cycling, and we would like to find out if there are any barriers that stop you walking or cycling to school.

Being active not only improves your physical and mental health and well-being, it also improves concentration and learning. In addition, active routes to school reduce traffic congestion, noise and air pollution and improve the local environment.  We are keen to keep the traffic congestion on Niddrie Mains Road to the absolute minimum.

Anything you tell us will be in confidence and will not be linked to any individual.

Many thanks for your help!

Why your views matter

We are consulting ahead of the rebuilding of the school to get an idea of current issues. We may be able to tackle these within the design of the new school.
