Davidson's Mains Crossing Upgrade

Thank you for taking the time to respond to the consultation carried out in September 2019 on the Davidson's Mains proposals. There were a high number of positive comments supporting the implementation of pedestrian crossing improvements at this location. In total we received 213 responses to this consultation.
We will now progress the detailed design of this project and establish a delivery programme.

Overview
The Council proposes to upgrade the crossings around the mini roundabout at the Main Street / Quality Street junction. The proposals are to introduce revised, raised zebra crossings over reduced carriageway widths, along with LED illuminated white bands on the zebra crossing poles to increase the visibility of the crossings.
Why your views matter
Prior to progressing the scheme for detailed design and construction, we would like to obtain the views of local residents on the proposed design. The proposals are available to view and download at the bottom of the page.
