There were 34 responses to the consultation, with a majority indicating support for the proposed crossing facilities.  

A copy of the Council’s response to comments raised during the consultation is attached.

The next step is to complete a detailed design, taking into consideration some of the points raised during this exercise.

Overview

The Council proposes to introduce new pedestrian crossing improvements on Gilmerton Dykes Street near to Gilmerton Dykes Crescent (at access to the shops). A preliminary design has been developed for the scheme.
