Taxicard Scheme Review

Closes 6 Apr 2025

Opened 21 Feb 2025

Overview

The Council’s Taxicard is available to Edinburgh residents with a permanent disability who cannot use ordinary buses unassisted. A Taxicard allows cardholders to travel by taxi at a reduced rate and can also be used for free local train travel.

Why your views matter

The Council is reviewing the Taxicard Scheme to understand how well it meets the needs of current and potential users. The purpose of this survey is to gather more information about how the Taxicard is used and what people think about the scheme in its current form.

The outcomes of the survey will be used to identify potential changes that could be made to the Taxicard scheme in future.
