The consultation received 128 responses. 71% of respondents were in favour of the general direction of the vision and strategy and offered very supportive and constructive suggestions and comments.
The project team will seek to address all these points. We have been drafting an implementation plan and financial plan, and we will prepare further consultation and engagement around these elements.
We have also made changes to the draft Vision and Strategy document in response to consultation feedback, for the Council's Culture and Communities Committee to review when it considers the way forward in spring 2023.
The City of Edinburgh Council is consulting on the draft Edinburgh’s Thriving Greenspaces 2050: A Vision and Strategy for the City of Edinburgh Council’s public greenspaces . This document sets a 2050 Vision for the city’s greenspaces with four strategic themes that will guide the management of the Council’s greenspaces and will be used to set priorities over the next 30 years.
We've previously ran surveys and workshops to find out what your vision was for Edinburgh’s greenspaces, and your views helped to shape the vision and key strategic themes included in the draft document.
The development of the strategy has also been informed by research and exploration of different ways of doing things. It has been strongly influenced by local, national and international goals and priorities.
We now welcome your views on the draft Edinburgh’s Thriving Greenspace 2050 Vision and Strategy document. Your feedback will help inform and finalise the vision, strategic aims and outcomes.
