World Cup 2026 - registration
Overview
What you need to do to take advantage of the FIFA World Cup extension
If you intend to use the extension for the duration of all or some of the late matches please provide the necessary information by clicking on 'Give us your details' at the bottom of this page.
The general extension will be in effect between 11 June and 19 July 2026. It will apply to your premises if you meet the following criteria:
- A full premises licence is in place
- Your licence allows on sales of alcohol, and
- The operating plan attached to your licence allows ‘televised sport’
If you meet all of the above criteria you may remain open for the purposes of screening any match during the tournament until 30 minutes after the end of the match.
Please note the extension does not apply to:
- Outdoor areas
If you have an outdoor area you can only operate it during the times specified on your licence.
- Occasional licences
If you do not have a full premises licence, you can only operate within the hours applied for and approved as part of the occasional licence application process.
- Children and Young Persons access
This will remain as stated in your licence.
We ask that you make responsible management arrangements to ensure the promotion of the licensing objectives. This includes making sure that you have adequate staffing and appropriate stewarding in place to ensure safety of staff and customers.
