Overview
Significant new housing is proposed within the Queensferry area. The existing school infrastructure is not large enough to accommodate the pupil numbers expected going forward.
Proposal
A new non-denominational primary school and nursery is being proposed within the Builyeon Road housing development. This would involve the creation of a new catchment area. The full proposal details two options for the new catchment area. A shorter, summary paper is also available.
This is a public consultation and we are interested in your views of the proposal. There is an online survey on this page you can complete or alternatively please e-mail us on: builyeonroad@edinburgh.gov.uk.
Why your views matter
The Council has a legal obligation to carry out a statutory consultation under the Schools (Consultation) (Scotland) Act 2010 as amended by the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014. The proposal put forward will have implications for families and we want to hear from anyone affected.
