Overview

This consultation gives people the opportunity to express their views about proposed initial design for walking and cycling improvements on Arboretum Place, between Inverleith Park and the Royal Botanic Garden West Gate.

These designs will convert the circular area between the Park and Garden into a new public space, creating a link between the two.  The proposal is to create a space more suitable for pedestrians and cyclists with some disabled parking remaining at the kerb.  Working with the Royal Botanic Garden a mix of tree species will be selected to provide interest throughout the area.  New seating, lighting and crossing will allow people to enjoy the space and move through the area easily and safely.

Why your views matter

The Council needs to understand and consider all the needs and views expressed by people regarding the street re-design.
