Application for Edinburgh Visitor Economy Improvement Fund (EVEIF)

Overview

The Edinburgh Visitor Economy Improvement Fund (EVEIF) is a new three-year funding programme funded through Edinburgh’s Visitor Levy and delivered by the City of Edinburgh Council.

The Fund has been established to support practical projects that strengthen Edinburgh’s visitor economy, enhance visitor experiences and help businesses work together to address shared opportunities and challenges.

Over the next three years, EVEIF will invest in projects that support innovation, sustainability, accessibility and business resilience across the sector.

Applicants must be businesses operating within Edinburgh’s visitor economy, have a local registered address and provide products and or services to leisure or business visitors.

The first phase of the programme is now launching, with funding available for collaborative projects involving three or more businesses. Grants of £1,000–£15,000 are available to support initiatives that deliver measurable benefits for businesses, visitors and the wider visitor economy.

A thriving visitor economy is one that benefits businesses, visitors and residents alike. Through EVEIF, the City of Edinburgh Council aims to support projects that contribute to Fair Work principles, help advance Edinburgh’s net zero ambitions and make the city a more accessible and inclusive destination for everyone.
