Reimagining Murrayburn, Hailesland and Dumbryden - People and Places Design Proposals
Overview
Welcome to the ‘MHD People and Places; re-imagining Murrayburn, Hailesland and Dumbryden’ consultation.
This work is being carried out by Atkins Landscape Architects on behalf of the City of Edinburgh Council. The brief for this project is to improve the public streets and spaces within the project boundary.
A concept design proposal has been developed for the site taking onboard the feedback from the first consultation workshop in November 2021.
Feedback from this consultation exercise will help the design team to further develop the design proposals to ensure they meet the needs and aspirations of the community.
This project looks to deliver principles of the ‘20 Minute Neighbourhood’ and themes established in the Wester Hailes Local Place Plan. Please use the links below in the 'Related' section to take a look at the proposals and let the Council know your thoughts.
If you would like to view the plans in person, we are holding displays at the Westside Plaza shopping centre, Wester Hailes libraray and the Holy Trinity Church. Dates and times for these events can be found below.
We have also provided a link to an interactive map. This will allow you to comment on specific areas of the masterplan.
Why your views matter
The purpose of this consultation is to find out what you think about the design proposals. Responses collected from this consultation will be considered when developing the designs further.
