Opened 7 Oct 2019

Overview

The Council is consulting on its proposal to construct a pedestrian / cycle bridge over the Union Canal at the Edinburgh International Climbing Arena (EICA), Ratho, to provide a direct and accessible link with the proposed Wavegarden surfing centre and country park opposite. The plans will also include a connecting ramp between the Canal towpath, which is part of the National Cycling Network, and the new bridge.

Why We Are Consulting

Following on from two public exhibitions of the proposals, in Ratho Community Centre and EICA, which were held on the 2nd September and 31st August 2019 respectively. The Council is particularly keen to hear the views of local residents, and existing and potential users of the Canal towpath and the two leisure facilities.  Please give us your views by clicking on the link below.
