Overview

The City of Edinburgh Council is reviewing the Inverleith Conservation Area Character Appraisal. Conservation Area Character Appraisals help to manage change in a conservation area. They describe what is special about each conservation area, and help in making decisions on proposals that affect the area's special character.

We are now seeking your views on the revised Inverleith Conservation Area Character Appraisal (download below). More information about the different ways you can get involved is on the Council's Character Appraisals review page www.edinburgh.gov.uk/CACAreview

Why your views matter

The first Inverleith Conservation Area Character Appraisal was published in 2006. The revised appraisal reflects changes that have occurred in the area since then, responds to community concerns regarding infrastructure and is intended to guide decisions more clearly.

What happens next

Consultation feedback will be incorporated into the final appraisal document. We intend to finalise this by December 2015. Further information and updates will be provided at www.edinburgh.gov.uk/CACAreview

    An exhibition for the proposed Inverleith Conservation Area Character Appraisal has been arranged for Stockbridge Library from 10th - 28th August with an Open Day on Wednesday 12th August between 3pm and 8pm, when representatives of the Council will be available to answer any questions
