Little France Park Management Plan
Overview
Little France Park (LFP) is the city’s newest park reclaiming unmanaged grassland for the local community and carving out a green corridor from the city centre to Midlothian. It is a new corridor for wildlife whilst offering a network of paths, cycleways all spread across 45 hectares.
The Little France Park Management Plan will help explain the value of the site as a parkland and provide direction over its future management. The layout and setting of objectives and priorities will allow us to prepare for day to day and aspirational management actions.
Programming of works and setting out priorities in this agreed plan will mean greater understanding of the parkland and opportunities to feedback for all stakeholders.
The management plan has been designed to last for 10 years from 2020 to 2030, with a mid-term review in year 5. The LFP workplan will be used to monitor year on year actions and work programming triggers.
The draft plan has been prepared by the City of Edinburgh Council, Parks and Greenspace site officer with input from Edinburgh Living Landscape partners.
